We have all experienced the pain of conversation STOPPERS- the famous “When are you due?” to the woman who is not pregnant, the awkward silence that comes when you remark on that hideous artwork, only to find out the artist is standing behind you, and the one I experienced on my first date with my husband: Me: “Don’t you just love Chick-fil-A?” Him: “I’m allergic to chicken.” Conversation ended.
